Something Blue

I believe that the craziness that has been going on for the last two weeks has finally came to an end and we can now get back to the norm! I don't know if y'all missed me, but I know my house and fur babies sure did. What a crazy week it's been! I am so glad to be back and I am excited for today's style post! I put a little something together using the color blue.

In the images below, it will look as though I used a skirt and top. It's actually more than that! I love to get really creative with my wardrobe and I really like a certain style with sundresses. So I took a blue dress, with a blue camisole underneath, and added some contrast with the ivory lace skirt. Another plus, it has quarter length sleeves!

In the image on the left, I used a silver necklace with blue beads. This necklace is very long, which makes it very versatile. In this particular style, I doubled the necklace so that it would frame itself and elongate the look as well. This necklace is called Heaven Sent! Here's a closer look at the piece itself...

In the middle image, I used a piece called Nod to Mod. This gives it a very simple, geometric and sleek look. The matte finish creates a bold look with out seeming too flashy, yet has that hint of sparkle you need to brighten your day! It is as easy as grab and go for this modern elegance! Take a closer look...

For the last image, I used one of our more popular pieces called Seaside! I love this piece especially for its versatility! For this style, I went basic and sweet. The clasp for this particular necklace is actually a magnet! And to make it even better, the clasp is pretty and sparkly too! It is being worn as a choker for this style. This would look absolutely adorable with the matching bracelet, your hair up in a messy bun, a pair of stud earrings, and a pair of flats. How cute right?!? Take a closer look at this fantabulous necklace...

Pretty in Purple

Sorry for the delay. Life happened yesterday and we had a family emergency. It will probably continue for a while, but I will post during my down time. Today's post is a style post on purple and v-necks.

I love to use fringe necklaces with v-necks. They compliment each other really well. When it comes to the color purple, I prefer to use either hemotite or silver. Gold is pretty too, but for this particular style I came up with these five pieces.

This silver medallion strand actually comes from one of our pieces called Sugar Rush. It has two clasps allowing it to be a style on its own. The medallions have a hammered texture to give it more character. This necklace could even be used as a bracelet by wrapping it around your wrist and attaching the two clasps together.

This sparkly fringe comes from Premier's signature necklace called Girl's Best Friend. It has regular silver chains and some rhinestone links used for the fringe. Fringe is all the rage these days! If you want a complimentary piece with a bit of sparkle, this is your go to!

This hemotite piece is a necklace of its own and it is called On the Fringe! It has a mix of silver and black chains for the fringe and then hemotite beads on the top layer for an easy statement piece you can just grab and go! Keeps you up with the trends and creates a very glossy and sleek look.

If you prefer to be a bit more simple in style but would also like a hint of sparkle, this is the piece for you. It is named Triplet for the three attachments that come with the leather stranded necklace. It creates great contrast with the purple top and is a very fun look!

This is another attachment to the Triplet necklace. These raindrop like incandescent beads hang on silver chains for contrast to create a very bold look! It evens stays with the trend of fringe!

Which style would you rock out most in? Post your answer in the comments. Want to see more? Follow me on twitter at @TheMochaowl11! Thanks for reading and I'll see you tomorrow!

Pokemon Go

Ok, so I will admit, as a child I never really got in to Pokemon all that much. I didn't have a gameboy or a playstation or anything like that growing up so I wasn't exposed to it as much as the other kids. I do not regret any of my childhood, that's not what I am getting at. I am only stating that my knowledge of Pokemon is miniscule. I have a, believed to be, life sized plush Pikachu as my Pokemon inventory. I remember watching some of the episodes a few times at my friend's house a few times but I don't remember much.
Anyways! Pokemon is coming back and I am learning all I can about it now! My fiance keeps telling me that it feels as though his childhood has been reborn. We both have the new Pokemon Go downloaded on our iPhones and we also go on walks every day too. Usually we would get home from work and watch tv while eating dinner and then go to bed. Now we are up and moving even more with this new app! Just this last Saturday, we went downtown and walked for a little over four miles to visit Poke stops and catch all the Pokemon we could find! We discovered areas of the town that we never knew existed before and it was actually a lot of fun! It was also fun running into others with the app and exchange info on where they had been so far and what they had found.
With it being a new app and so huge, it still crashes pretty often. Every once in a while I will come across a Pokemon and think that I have caught it, but then the app would freeze and need a reload. On the bright side, the app will either show that I really did catch it, or it will give me another chance to if I stayed in the area. I love how when you are trying to catch one it makes it look as though it really is in front of you! It makes it feel that much more realistic. It can also be pretty funny where you find them. Below are some images that I found online from other players.

Have you downloaded Pokemon Go? If so what are your thoughts? Tomorrow's post is a style post, so make sure to comeback and check it out! Want to see more? Follow me on twitter at @TheMochaowl11. See you tomorrow!

She was lost but then was found

It's cat post Friday! As you have seen in my past post, I had a cat named Jesse. I am going to tell you a story about her today, and it's a good one! I know because I use it for young authors and got awards for it....in elementary school...yep! It really is good though, I promise.

One summer, my family had just got back from our vacation and the cat sitter was there waiting for us to return keys and catch us up. Everything was great until she mentioned that Jesse was let out as usual, but never came back. Jesse was missing! As a kid I was very upset. I had thought that we had left this person in charge of my cat and she failed! I think I even made her cry... As an adult, I know now that it could have happened to anyone, even myself, especially given that Jesse was both an indoor/outdoor cat. So she could just leave whenever if she really wanted to.
We went looking everywhere for her. We hung posters of her missing and would call out her name. It felt like we did this for hours, day after day and we could not find her anywhere. I would even call for her when we would be driving to the grocery store, or on the way to a friends house. One day, we got a call from someone at the grocery store saying that they thought they saw her out back. Mom and I drove out there to see if she was there, but had no luck.
As the days turned in to weeks, I began to prepare myself for the fact that she might never come back, and we may never find her. I had a girl scout camp coming up for a week and that really helped get my mind off of Jesse. I went to so many camps as a kid that I don't even remember which one it was exactly for this particular year. I just remember coming home to my dad in my face with the video camera, my brother Jack bouncing on the living room couch filled with excitement, and me thinking "why in the world is dad recording my reaction to a clean living room." That's when I saw Jesse sitting atop my dad's recliner! I ran up to her and gave her a great big hug! The moment I remember most, is that when I hugged her, I felt one of her paws wrap around me and hugged me back! I couldn't believe it! I kept asking "Is that my cat? Jesse?!" and "How?!" My mom had said that a few nights ago, as she was about to turn the lights out for the night, she heard picking on the screen window, just like Jesse always did when she was ready to come inside. Mom opened the door, and there she was, like nothing had changed! Jesse was back home! She had lost a bit of weight, but she was home and she was ok.
Jesse had been missing for 66 days and she came back home all on her own. She was an amazing cat and I love her so. After all the excitement of her return, I concluded the video with songs I had learned from camp (annoying ones too in fact). Anyone remember Baby Shark? Lol

4th of July Bark

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I took a vacation down to Oklahoma to celebrate with my fiance's family and decided to take a much needed break all together.  We had a wonderful time and we were so happy to get to visit everyone!
Well, with it being Wednesday, I am sure you are expecting a cat post. I have moved cat posts to Friday's and now it will be called Anything Can Happen Wednesday! (Any Big Bang Theory fans out there?) So, today's post is on how to make 4th of July Bark! It's a lot of fun to make and really easy, tasty too! Here is what you will need:

- Foil Pan (size depends on how much you want to make and how thick/thin you prefer)
- Tooth Picks
- Microwavable Bowl
- White Almond Bark
- Red & Blue Food Coloring
- Red, White & Blue Sprinkles
- Red, White & Blue Pearl Candies or M&M's

Instructions:

Take the almond bark and melt in a microwavable bowl. You will want to do 30 second intervals to keep it from burning and caramelizing. Once melted, pour into the foil pan. You will want to pick up the pace at this point so that it doesn't turn back into bark just yet. Next you will drop a few drops of red food coloring here and there and same for the blue food coloring. Then you take a toothpick and swirl the colors around! After you have swirled to perfection, you scatter the sprinkles and m&m's/pearl candies. Once you are finished with the decorating, stick the pan in the fridge to set and TADA! You have 4th of July Bark!

Work in Style

I'm so excited for today's post! We have been looking at a lot of casual styles lately, so today will be more of a work style post. I used a short sleeve, pink button up with a white cami underneath. This would look great with a pair of black slacks or blue jeans, depending on the occasion. Finishing this look is so easy! All you have to do is grab a statement piece and go! Which style would you choose to rock?!

A.      Pink Sparkles

D.       Bold Gold

C.       Classic Pearls

B.      Sleek & Edgy

I love all these styles! Post your favorite in the comments and if you would like a full ensemble with your choice, let me know and I will post images to match that style for you!

Heidi

It has been about ten year now since Heidi joined my family. When mom first brought her home she was so small! My mom was at the school cleaning her class room for the summer and as she was walking to the car, she heard a meow in the school. She looked all around and then saw three guys, that were getting ready to wax the floors, cornering the kitten. They didn't know how to handle the situation, so mom went and picked it up. The poor thing was scared to death and very dirty. We suspect that it wasn't long after leaving her mothers side that caused all this.
My mom brought her home to us that day but didn't want her in the house long with Jesse just yet since she needed to be cleaned and treated first. Mom and dad spent a little time at the church, which was next door, trying to get her cleaned up. When they brought her back, I took charge of feeding her. We then had to decide on a name. We figured that since Woody was Jacob's cat and had ran away, that we should let Jacob choose her name. When we would put her down to let her explore, she would constantly run and hide. So Jacob named her Heidi.
Jesse and Heidi never really did get along very well. Jesse didn't want to share the food or the territory, but she did put up with her for the most part. They mainly just stayed out of each others way. It was pretty easy to do so when Jesse was outside most of the time, whereas Heidi hates the outdoors. She had given the outside world a chance at the wrong time. We just got back from a grocery run, and as we were bringing in the goods, Heidi had ended up outside. We didn't realize it for a little while that we hadn't seen her since we got back. We looked everywhere and then it dawned on me that she could have gone outside! I was so scared we had lost her, but when dad opened the back door, Heidi bolted back inside. We all were laughing so hard and we're so happy that she was ok and back to us. Ever since then she really hasn't had much interest in going out there again.
Heidi continues to live in Michigan with my mom, dad and brother. I miss that little goofball, but now I have two of my own. Love you Heidi <3

Summer Style - Embrace the Heat

It's the first day of summer and it just keeps getting hotter and hotter! This week we are going to embrace the heat with HOT & BRIGHT colors! As you can see in the first image, I went simple yet stylish with a burnt orange cami, and a sleeveless cardigan. What really makes this style come together is the tassels at the bottom of the cardigan and on the ends of the braided leather belt. Tassels are all the rage right now! The necklace I have chosen also gives the illusion of tassels on the bottom and also adds a pop of color to the ensemble as well. Don't like orange? Thats ok! This look would go great will many bright colors! I like to use blue, lime green, and coral with this same style!

Moving Away from the Family

On this day last year, I moved out of my parents house to start a new chapter in my life with Blake back in Kansas. This was one of the hardest moments for me, but it was exciting at the same time. Blake and I had been long distance for four years, only able to visit once or twice each year, and now moving in together, never having to say a dreadful goodbye again. On the other hand, leaving the people who raised you and who you grew up with your whole life, seeing everyday to only twice a year now was really tough.
I remember packing up the U-haul, thinking back on all the good times. My dad and brother, I believe, had the most fun loading the truck together. They seemed to be enjoying getting everything to fit and picking out what they should load next. My mom was fixing one of my favorite breakfast meals, cream chipped beef, as it was going to be the last time in a long time that she would ever make that for me again. My grandma was also visiting at the time and was helping me with getting the last few things packed and ready to go.
Once the truck was all set and ready to go, we decided we would go out to eat dinner before I left. Mom wanted me to choose where and think about what I wouldn't be having for a while. I decided on steak at Logan's and it ended up being one of the best steaks I've ever had! When it came time to say goodbye, I didn't want to go. I kept trying to tell myself that I was ready and it was time to get out of the house, but I don't think anyone could really be prepared to say goodbye to their family when they move states away.
We said our goodbyes in the back and I gave everyone a long bear hug. I remember it like it was yesterday, getting in the truck, waving back at them and looking in the mirror until I could no longer see them. I started crying by the end of the block at the first stop light. I called Blake bawling my eyes out to try and calm down since I had a long drive ahead of me. Once I got to the neighboring town I called my mom to check in with the directions she printed off for me. I was headed to my Aunt's house in Illinois for the night. It allowed me to cut off a few hours of my trip to Kansas so then I wouldn't have to go the whole way or stop at a hotel. It was also an opportunity to visit my Aunt and Uncle and catch up with them. Even though I was only there for a night, it was still great seeing them.
Other than how much gas I had to get, the worst part of the drive was that the seats would not adjust, so I had to sit up straight the entire way. Every time I would stop at a gas station I would stay out a bit longer to walk around and stretch my legs. I would even make phone calls to get my address changed and take care of things that were easy to do on my phone that I would normally push off until later. I did get to learn truck lingo on the way down here too. I found that entertaining in itself. The radio was not the easiest thing to work with, especially when driving, so I just plugged my phone in and listened to pandora by placing the phone in my shoulder strap of my tank top. With the truck being so loud it wasn't easy to hear but it worked and I would sing along.
When I pulled in to the town where Blake was living at the time, my legs were worn out to where I was worried I would fall trying to run into Blake's arms, but he met me right at the door of the truck when I put it in park. I was so happy to have finally arrived. The duplex of which we live in now was being remodeled and was not going to be ready until the next day, so we spent the night at his grandparents house. I had not even seen the place yet but was too excited to sleep.
The next morning, we were able to go take a look at our new home. When we walked in, it still needed carpet put down and doors installed, which was all going to take place that afternoon. I could imagine everything that would be happening. Where the christmas tree would go, how I would place the furniture, everything! I couldn't believe that Blake and I were going to really be together forever and it was all starting then! We knew that this day would eventually become, yet it was still hard to believe.
I am so thankful for cell phones and skype. It has bringing my family together in the best way possible with being states away and has been making my move here so much easier. It also helped keep Blake and I together during all those years of being in a long distance relationship! I miss my family everyday, but I know I made the right decision and took the right path.

Jesse

A little over a year ago, my family had to say goodbye to a member of our family. Her name was Jesse. She had been with us for 14 years and in the end got a tumor on her tongue. It caused her to stop eating, which was a huge thing for her, and she just wasn't herself at all. It was the hardest day of my life. I had gotten so angry with God because I felt it was his job to take everyone and everything on to the after life. I felt like I killed her and felt that way for a few weeks. I now realize that we helped her by taking away her pain. We believe that Jesse even knew what was going on when it happened because she was purring until the end. We loved her so much, so it was hard for all of us, but we know she's in a better place now.

My brother and I were really little when we first saw Jesse. Jesse also had a brother which was later named Woody from the Toy Story series. Our family was carving pumpkins for halloween at a family friends house. Jesse and Woody had been dumped at their house by some people that did not want them. Usually, my brother and I would be all over getting our pumpkins carved, but this time we were too interested in finding and playing with the cats. Of course it was natural that we beg our parents that we take them home and keep them. I can't remember when exactly it happened, but they did end up being our cats.

Sadly, Woody ended up running away. It's been so long that I don't remember how long we had him before he disappeared, but my brother will never forget letting him outside and then never returning. It was a devastating toll on my brother and it still bothers him to this day.

I have many stories involving Jesse and will be posting them one at a time as time goes bye. In the image below, you we see her just before we took her in to the vet to say our final goodbyes. She had always acted like a queen so I took my bracelet off and put it on her head as a crown for this picture. We miss you Jesse and love you so much.

Cool Pastels

This weeks style is about keeping it cool and fresh with pastels with a chic shine for sparkle! As you can see in the image below, I used a beige/tan cami and a light denim shirt with the sleeves rolled up to three quarter length, with the front tied. I like to tie this shirt in the front like this because it helps me look a little slimmer and show off more color! To stay with the cool look, I went with a silver statement piece. I went with two different pieces to show how much of a difference it makes just to change the sparkle! On the left is a multi functional piece that can be worn several different ways. It is shown all put together in this image to create a wow factor and a bold look. On the right, I used a softer style with sea glass and silver drops. It creates a lighter, breezy feel with a beachy look. As for the rest of the accessories, I have created a mash up of what I would wear for both of these styles!

College Graduation

On this day last year, I graduated from college with an associates degree in interior design. I had been in school for three years and was so glad to be done! I was so ready that I didn't even want to enroll in my last quarters classes. After all those years of wanting to be an interior designer, I was feeling like I was not in the right place. Concentrating in class was so difficult that I wanted to cry. I had wanted to be an interior designer since I was in the fifth grade, and now I don't want to do this anymore. I hated that feeling. I felt like I knew what to do with my life for nine years and now have no clue!
The reason I began feeling like design wasn't for me is not that it's difficult, I knew that before I started, but I did not know about all the paperwork involved and how you need everything said on record to keep you safe from getting in to any trouble with your clients. I have a hard enough time remembering what I said to who the day before! I figure that if I do anything in the lines of interior design, I could do staging of homes for realtors. The only problem is I live in little old Smallville and that's an expensive profession that really wont go anywhere around here. At least, I don't think so. So until I figure out what exactly it is that I am to do, I will continue blogging, being a jewelry lady, and a barista.

Before & After.....Now! - Hair

Ever wonder what your hair would be like if you did a dramatic change? I had been growing my hair for 12 years and was ready for something different. I was getting tired of my hair getting in my face all the time, constantly putting it up in a ponytail, and getting it caught in everything! I looked through hundreds of images of hairstyles and I fell in love with a short style that flared out. When I went in to get it cut, they took off ten inches for me to send to locks of love. They gave me product to put in my hair and showed me how to style it. I had to learn how much shampoo to use again and I loved how much time was cut when it came to drying my hair too!
After a while, I started to miss what all I could do with my hair when it was long. So I started to grow it back out. As it grew, I would try out all kinds of styles. It has been growing for two years now and it is almost back to its original length. I still don't care for it getting in my face and caught, but I love styling it each day. One of my favorite styles for my hair is a high bun, especially in the summer time.
Take a look next week for a tutorial on how I make my go to bun in at least 5 min! Want to see more? Follow me on twitter at @TheMochaowl11! See you tomorrow!

The Cat Burrito

Okay! So in the last two weeks I have introduce you to my fur babies, Symbah and Peeves. Last week I mentioned that I would be posting about how Blake and I were able to help the two of them become friends called The Cat Burrito! I apologize for this post being a day late. Had an important issue come up that needed attending to. Anyways! Here is how to burrito your cat(s).
                                                                       You will need :
Two people (if there's more than one)
                                                                  A good size blanket
                                                                         Your cat(s)

First, you will take the blanket and fold it in half. Depending on how old your cat is decides the width of the blanket. For our cats, the blanket just needs to be folded in half once. When they were kittens, we would fold it twice. You want the blanket to be wide enough so that their back feet do not stick out, but to where it does not leave a bunch of empty blanket room too. Helps even more with handling.

Next, you will take your cat and set them near one end of the blanket. Make sure to have your hands on either side of them like you see in the image above so that you have a good hold of them but are still gentle. Then in one swift move, you will place one of your hands on their back as you use the other hand to grab the end of the blanket. When you begin the wrap, it will be like tucking them in at first. Now for the fun part!

Slowly and gently start to roll the cat into the burrito. Try to keep their front paws tucked in well to prevent them from possibly scratching you or making it easier for them to get out.
The burrito is also a good way to help calm the cat down and you can use this technique when it's time to give them any medicine or flea treatment. Blake and I use it for cleaning their ears when they get bad. When we first made the cat burrito, we used it to help get the two of them to be friendly. We would wrap each cat. Blake would usually have Symbah and I Peeves and each time we would get closer. The final test was when Symbah didn't hiss or growl at all and they were basically touching noses. It took some time but now they are the best of friends!
And that's how to make a cat burrito! Let me know what you think in the comments below! Want to see more? Follow us on twitter at @TheMochaowl11! See you tomorrow!

Blake's Proposal

I had waited years for this day to finally happen and I was so happy when it did. On Christmas Eve, Blake and I got back from the church service and decided to play games and watch movies until midnight. We had slept most the day away and we weren’t really tired, so we figured, why not. We were watching the nativity movie while playing the game life. When the movie was over, it was just past midnight. We knew that we were going to want to sleep in, but also had to be over at Blake’s grandparent’s house that morning too. So, we decided to go ahead and open presents. With it being our first year, there wasn’t much under the tree. A lot of the wrapped gifts were just empty boxes for decoration. Blake opened the dominos, beard oil and robe that I got him and I opened my stocking filled with candy canes! Then he pulled out a large wrapped box and handed it to me. I unwrapped it and inside was a smaller box, in that another, and another. This went on until the boxes couldn’t get any smaller. The last box was one of my boxes from the jewelry company I sell for, and when I opened it, there was nothing in there! Blake was so confused and then realized that he had wrapped the wrong box! I of course started laughing uncontrollably since that box had been sitting under the tree since it had been put up and decorated, and the whole time the last box was the wrong one! Blake told me to close my eyes while he fixed the issue. When he had me open them, I looked down and there he was on one knee and asked me to marry him. I excitedly said yes and began to cry tears of joy as I gave him a big hug. He then told me that he wrapped it like that on purpose and had the ring in his pocket the entire time. That was by far the best present I have ever received. I look forward to becoming his wife next year and spending the rest of my life with him. <3

My Top 4 Fitness/Health Apps

Every time I want a new app  for any reason, I get on the app store and download a lot of apps that might work for that specific task. Early this year, Blake and I decided that we really need to get to work on our weight and start exercising. Not only did we take over a gym membership for a friend, but we decided to get fitbits and work out clothes and apps. These are the apps that made it through my test of what I preferred and got to stay.

1.) My Fitness Pal
This app is great for helping you track your exercise and calories. Lots of times you can just search what you did or ate and there's already a pre-programed name, estimated time or amount of calories for each serving. I really love this app for how easy it is to use and navigate through. You can also set your goals on there to help you stay on track.

2.) Fitbit
The Fitbit app is essential to all who own a Fitbit. It allows you to track everything that is included in the Fitbit you purchased. I got the Fitbit Flex because, at the time, I just wanted to monitor my steps, sleep, exercise and calories burned. I now realize that I would rather have had the ChargeHR+ like my fiance because it also tracks your heart rate and displays the number of the person calling you on your phone. This app is very easy to use and navigate as well. My favorite feature is the challenges you can bestow upon your Fitbit buddies. There are several to choose from and help push you to achieve your goals.

3.) First Opinion
This app is one of my favorites because I get to talk to a doctor, one-on-one, about anything medical that comes up. I can explain to them what's going on and ask for advice as to what I should do. This app was created to give a first opinion as to whether or not you really need to go see a doctor, or if I can easily take care of the issue myself at home. It's made for those who don't want to spend money on going to a doctor for heartburn as an example. It's really helped me through a few moments in the last year.

4) MapMyRide
This last app is great for those who love to ride their bikes. You open it when you are about to start and when you hit the start button, it will track where you have been until you are done. You can even pause it if say you rode you bike to town to run some errands and then continue when you start up again. Once you get back home you just just press the finish button and answer a few questions as to how the ride was. It will ask you if it was windy or not, and if there were a lot of inclines/declines during you ride, to help you figure out how many calories you burned as well. This comes in handy for putting your exercise entries in on the My Fitness Pal and Fitbit apps. I enjoy looking at the map after my ride to see what my ride looks like.

5 Min Weight Loss Program - Casual Mint Dress

This month has started out with really bringing the heat! What a better way to stay comfortable than a light, breezy, casual sundress! I got this dress on a steal sale at rue21 for only $5! It caught my eye because of the bright color and I love the feel of the light material. It is so airy, and that's what you look for during this time of year. I also like the three quarter length sleeves, which are perfect for an arm party (bracelets) and for loosing weight!
My favorite saying is "No need to exercise, just accessorize!" Three quarter length sleeves are perfect because they don't pull any attention to your problem areas, whereas short sleeves and tanks do. Now I'm not saying to avoid those entirely, no. I enjoy a tee or tank top every now and again myself. I am just stating that this will in turn look more appealing to the eye and make you look slim!
With this dress, I figured that my golds would pair best with the minty color. I am sure silver or rose gold would look absolutely gorgeous too, but for today I am sticking with gold. I also wanted to stick with the casual laid back feel as well, so I went with a very simple look. As you can see in the image above, I went with a long golden necklace with a pendant on the end, and a smaller chain with a few charms on it. The two necklaces are actually very similar in length, but it's not against the law to modify that at all. So what the heck! The look of really long necklaces are really in style right now and it too helps you to look skinnier and even taller!
I challenge you to take a picture with a three quarter length sleeve and a long necklace, and then take one with a tank or tee without a necklace and compare the two. What do you see? Does my "five minute weight loss program" really work?
Another trick that really helps bring off the pounds is big earrings! One of my favorite pairs of earrings is the gold pair you will see below. They aren't too big and they are a great size to make my face and waist look slimmer! It's crazy right?! It's all about tricking the eye. It's amazing how easy it really is!
Now I'm no trainer, and I'm no doctor, but this really does work. Please know that I'm not trying to steer anyone away from really exercising and working out. I exercise regularly myself to stay healthy and to get in shape. Exercising is a great thing to do for yourself and health. This is just a little style session to help you with getting ready each day, and looking the way you want to in as little as five minutes. See you tomorrow!

Most Proud Moment

It was just a little over a year ago when my little brother was a freshman, going to be a sophomore, trying out for drum major. The school year was almost over, and the band banquet for recognition and reveal of the new drum major was coming up. There were three final candidates and my brother, Jackson, was one of them. I wasn't going to miss this for the world! I had a very strong feeling that my brother was going to win the position, so I cut classes that evening to see this amazing moment in his life.
Like my dad, Jackson plays the trombone, and he wasn't too excited about not playing it in marching band anymore, but he was really driven to being drum major. The whole family, church and school friends were encouraging for the idea the entire way. I remembered when I was his age and had thought about drum major myself, but I loved my quints too much to do so.
On the night of the banquet, we all got dressed up fairly nice and enjoyed the meal that was prepared for all that attended. We all had our eyes on Jackson while we ate to make sure that he wouldn't spill anything on his white shirt and blue tie. He was so nervous! After the meal, they started recognitions. I love how the school makes it priority that each student gets recognized for something they have accomplished so that no one is left out. With it being a pretty good sized band, this took awhile to get through.
Then came the results for drum major! The students and teachers had all put in their votes and we were all very anxious to hear who won. Jackson made it a point that night to wish good luck to the other two kids who had tried out as well. I pulled out my phone and started to record, but it had said that my storage was too full to use for a video. Thank goodness dad had his all set and caught the moment where they had announced my brother's name to be the next drum major! I managed to go through my phone and delete unnecessary photos and apps to open up more space for anymore videos and photos for this night. I was able to catch the moment when the current drum majors saluted Jackson which you can see in the video below.
I don't think I have ever been more proud than like I was with my little brother that night, and I still am. He has two more years of high school left and is involved in so many school activities to where it's hard to get ahold of him. Especially now that we no longer live under the same roof, let alone the same state. But, I will take what I can get. I love you so much bud!

The Best Makeup Remover

I am so glad that I found this amazing makeup remover! It saves me A LOT of money and it does the best job with out using any chemicals! All it needs is some hot water and you are good to go! It is called The Makeup Eraser. I use it everyday and have had it for about a year now!

My biggest issue with other makeup removers was getting my mascara off without irritating my eyes. I tried so many different brands, but they would make my eyes sting and I would need two or three wipes just to get it all off. I don't even wear that much! I like to keep my makeup very natural so there's really not too much of a difference in how I look with and without it.

One day, I was walking through the local git shop and came across the Makeup Eraser. There was a video display showing what it was and how it worked. I didn't think it was legit at first. I mean really? All you have to do is add hot water? I also figured I had just got a new brand of makeup remover I had not yet tried out, so I should try what I bought first. Once again, my eyes were irritated and I had to use more than one wipe to get it off. So I went back to the store and got the Makeup Eraser. When I got home, I wanted to use it right away to see if I liked it or not, and if not, return it. I got it out, put warm water on it, and wiped away my makeup. IT WORKED! I was so excited to have something so simple and perfect for the job.

The fluffy side is for the mascara and eye shadow, and the smooth side is for your foundation and blush. Once you have used it to its max, you just throw it in the wash with the rest of your clothes and it comes out looking brand new! Like I said earlier, I have had mine for almost a year, and it still comes out of the wash looking brand new! I love the Makeup Eraser and recommend it to anyone who wears makeup! I plan to buy one for each of my bridesmaids and have their names stitched on the edge of them so that when they are all together they don't get all mixed up and don't know whose is whose.
